Karolien Boucquaert experimenteert met verschillende technieken en materialen.

Ze heeft zeefdruk & keramiek gestudeerd aan de Stedelijk Academie van Eeklo en studeerde in juni 2015 af in de richting edelsmeedkunst aan de Stedelijke Academie van Sint-Niklaas met als afstudeerproject haar juweelcollectie 'Kinderspel'. In juni 2019 behaalde ze haar specialisatie met grote onderscheiding in de richting juweelontwerp & edelsmeedkunst aan het SASK Sint-Niklaas.

Karolien Boucquaert stelt regelmatig tentoon sedert 1991, in diverse solo en groepstentoonstellingen, in België, Nederland, Frankrijk, Duitsland en Griekenland.

Ze behaalde diverse selecties en prijzen, in 1999 werd ze laureaat  van de stad Gent in de wedstrijd ‘Kunst in de Buurt’.  In de zomer van 2016 werd ze geselecteerd voor de expo 'Ongezien talent' in het DIVA tijdens de museumnacht van Antwerpen. In 2019 is ze geselecteerd voor Paper Art 2019 in het CODA museum te Apeldoorn, NL. In de zomer 2020  werd ze opnieuw geselecteerd in het CODA voor de expo Challenge Accepted.  In 2023 won ze de Publieksprijs van de Sieradenchallenge, terug in het CODA museum.

 

Karolien Boucquaert is silkscreenprinting for more then 40 years. She combines serigraphic prints  with installations and jewellery.  End June 2015 she graduated at the art school of St. Niklaas with her end year project: the jewel collection 'Children games'. In 2019 she graduated with great distinction for specialisation jewel design at SASK Sint Niklaas.

 

In 1999 she became laurate of the city of Ghent in the contest 'Art in the neighbourhood', her design was realised and installed in the public space.  During summer 2016, she was selected for the exhibition 'Unseen talent' at DIVA during the museumnight, Antwerp. She was selected twice for exhibitions at  CODA museum, Apeldoorn: Paper Art 2019 and Challenge accepted in 2020.   In 2023, she won the publics prize of the 'Sieradenchallenge' , back in the CODA museum.

She works and lives in Belgium, exhibited since 1991 in Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Germany and Greece.
